​West Oak Lane Community Development Corporation(WOLCDC) is a 501(C)(3)non-profit corporation organized in 1980 to combat the rise of abandoned housing, improved quality of rental housing and generally improve the quality of life for area residents.  WOLCDChas rehabilitated over 150 units of housing for both rental and home purchase. Since 1993, WOLCDC has provided comprehensive housing counseling services to potential and current homeowners. WOLCDC is under contract with the City of Philadelphia's Division of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) for the past 22+ years to provide housing counseling services to the residents of Philadelphia.  The  agency is also under contract withPennsylvania Housing and Finance Agency (PHFA) and provides housing counseling service to residents of Pennsylvania.  WOLCDCis HUD certified agency since 2005 and Has adopted National Industry Standards for Homeownership Education and Counseling.

​West Oak Lane Community Development Corporation(WOLCDC) Housing Counseling Program offers Pre-Purchase, Post-Purchase, Mortgage Default and Delinquency, Real Estate Tax Delinquency, Foreclosure Prevention, Pre and Post Loan, Pre and Post Rental/Tenant and Housing Consumer Education.

​West Oak Lane Community Development Corporation(WOLCDC) services more than 1100 people each year through the various counseling categories and more than 100 impending foreclosures have been avoided with many still being processed.  Approximately 95% of the WOLCDC's clients are resident of Philadelphia County.  The remaining clients come from the surrounding counties of Montgomery, Delaware, and Bucks.  On Occasion, the WOLCDC counsels clients from out of State that are Relocating to this area.
